Terms and Conditions of Welcome Gifts Redemption:
  1. Welcome gifts are only applicable to the principal cardholder of CMB Wing Lung Xcite Visa Platinum Card which is successfully approved on or before 31 March 2016 (“Promotion Period”) and the customer who has not maintained any CMB Wing Lung credit card or affinity card (including principal and supplementary card) in the past 12 months (“Cardholder(s)”).
  2. Each Cardholder can be awarded one welcome gift only.  If the Cardholder applies for more than one CMB Wing Lung credit card during the Promotion Period, the Cardholder can only be awarded one welcome gift under one of the promotion programs of CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited (“the Bank”).  The Bank reserves the rights of final decision.
  3. Welcome gift cannot be changed once it has been chosen in the application form. The quantities of welcome gifts are limited and are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last. If the welcome gift chosen by the Cardholder is out of stock, the Bank is entitled to replace it by other gift. The Bank reserves the right to substitute the welcome gift with another offer without prior notice as replacement in case of product shortage. The value or nature of the substitute gifts may differ from the current gifts offered in this promotion.
  4. For Cardholders who choose to redeem HK$400 Free Spending Credit (Exclusive for online application):
    1. Cardholder shall effect accumulated spending by the new card in the amount of HK$3,800 or above within 2 months from the issuance of the new card for the redemption of one HK$400 Free Spending Credit for free. HK$400 spending credit will be credited into the Xcite Visa Platinum Card account of the Cardholder within 2 months upon fulfilment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.
    2. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers unless otherwise specified.
  5. For Cardholders who choose to redeem MAX Realtime Video Quadcopter:
    1. Cardholder shall effect accumulated spending by the new card in the amount of HK$6,800 or above within 2 months from the issuance of the new card for the redemption of one MAX Realtime Video Quadcopter for free. Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the Cardholder within 1 month by post upon fulfillment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.  
    2. Quadcopter user should take control of quadcopter in a responsible manner and with respect of the local rules and regulations.
  6. For Cardholder who choose to redeem Rasonic Bread Maker: Cardholder shall effect accumulated spending by the new card in the amount of HK$3,800 or above within 2 months from the issuance of the new card for the redemption of one Rasonic Bread Maker for free. Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the Cardholder within 1 month by post upon fulfillment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.  
  7. For Cardholder who choose to redeem Sony 10,000mAh Portable Charger: Cardholder shall effect accumulated spending by the new card in the amount of HK$2,800 or above within 2 months from the issuance of the new card for the redemption of one Sony 10,000mAh Portable Charger for free. Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the Cardholder within 1 month by post upon fulfillment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.
  8. For Cardholder who choose to redeem 5 Days CMB Wing Lung Travel Insurance Diamond Plan (Single Journey) for 2 insured + HK$100 Free Spending Credit:
    1. Cardholder shall effect accumulated spending by the new card in the amount of HK$2,800 or above within 2 months from the issuance of the new card for the redemption of one 5 Days CMB Wing Lung Travel Insurance Diamond Plan (Single Journey) for 2 insured + HK$100 Free Spending Credit for free. Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the Cardholder within 1 month by post upon fulfillment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.
    2. Redemption of the above Travel Insurance Diamond Plan is bound by the redemption terms set by CMB Wing Lung Insurance Limited (“CMB Wing Lung Insurance”). For details, please refer to the Gift Redemption Advice or contact Wing Lung Insurance (Enquiry Hotline: 2826 8428).
    3. For full terms and conditions and exclusions of the Travel Insurance Diamond Plan insurance policy, please contact CMB Wing Lung Insurance (Enguiry Hotline: 28268428). CMB Wing Lung Insurance is the insurance underwriter of this Policy and is solely responsible for all approvals, coverage, compensations and the related issues of the policy and reserves the right of final approval and decision on the policy. CMB Wing Lung Insurance is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank.
    4. HK$100 spending credit will be credited into the Xcite Visa Platinum Card account of the Cardholder within 2 months upon fulfilment of the spending requirements by the Cardholder.
  9. For Cardholder who choose HK$60,000 6 months Interest Free Credit-to-Cash  (with 2 months repayment holiday):
    1. The approved loan amount to Cardholder may up to HK$60,000 or 80% of credit card limit, whichever is lower.
    2. In normal circumstances, the approved loan amount will be credited by way of telegraphic transfer to the Hong Kong Dollar bank account designated by Cardholder within 7 working days after the new card has been successfully approved. If the designated bank account is not an account of the Bank, the Bank will charge HK$30 as administration fee. The receiving bank may also deduct a handling fee for telegraphic transfer from the designated account. Such fees are to be borne by the Cardholder.
    3. Upon the HK$60,000 6-months Interest Free Credit-to-Cash is approved, Cardholder shall receive a confirmation letter.
    4. Cardholder can enjoy repayment holiday in first 2 months, i.e.  repayment will be extended for 2 months. After the repayment holiday, Cardholder shall repay the approved amount by 6-month instalment without interest and charges. Each repayment amount is equal to the approved amount divided by the number of instalment (6 instalments), and will be deducted from the credit card account of Cardholder monthly.  Cardholder shall repay the amount in accordance with the terms and conditions of CMB Wing Lung credit card Cardholder Agreement.
    5. If the Cardholder fails to repay the amount of minimum payment or total outstanding amount of statement of account on or before the payment due date shown in the monthly statement, the Bank shall charge the total outstanding amount, overdue charge, finance charge and / or other relevant charges shown in the monthly statement of the relevant credit card in accordance with CMB Wing Lung credit card Cardholder Agreement and CMB Wing Lung credit card fee schedule.
    6. Cardholder agree and authorise the Bank to deduct the repayment amount of each month from the Cardholder's credit card account. The repayment amount of each month and the repayment period cannot be changed.
    7. The Bank will deduct the credit limit of the credit card account which equals to the amount of the approved loan. Upon successfully receipt of the repayment of each instalment from the credit card account by the Bank, the credit limit of the credit card account will be resumed proportionally.
    8. For whatever reason, if the credit card account of the Cardholder is cancelled,  all total outstanding approved loan amount, interests and other charges (if applicable) will become immediately due and payable in full.
    9. Once the loan application is approved by the Bank and before full settlement of the outstanding approved loan amount, interests and other charges (if applicable), the loan cannot be cancelled.
    10. Cardholder shall issue prior written notice to the Bank not less than 7 working days before the payment due date specified in the monthly statement if the Cardholder intends to make early repayment. Upon receipt of early repayment notice, the Bank will immediately deduct each instalment, all interests and other charges (if applicable) to be early repaid from the credit card account of the Cardholder. For whatever reason, if the Cardholder early repays the loan in full, the Bank is entitled to charge an administration fee of HK$500 from the Cardholder.
    11. The approved loan amount is not applicable to any spending reward program and bonus reward program.
  10. Only the recorded retail purchase, cash advance, online purchase, mail purchase, phone order or recorded amount of instalment payment is eligible to the spending requirements for redemption of the welcome gifts.
  11. The following spending are not eligible to the spending requirements for redemption of the welcome gifts: autopay transfer, credit to cash program, balance transfer, flexible instalment, interest free tuition loan, Octopus auto reload amount, online bill payment, gambling chips, securities transaction, foreign exchange, travellers' cheque purchase, finance charges, handling fees, annual fee payment, account service fees, late payment charges, reversal transaction, personalized Octopus application fee, cancellation or reimbursement of transaction or other transactions that the Bank determines.
  12. If Cardholder cancels that credit card within 1 year after issuance, the Bank reserves the right to charge a gift administrative fee of HK$200 to Cardholder for each credit card.
  13. The Bank is not the supplier of the gift items in this promotion and shall not be responsible for any matters related to the product quality or after-sales services provided.
  14. During the Promotion Period and redemption period, credit card account of the Cardholder must be valid and in good credit standing for the redemption of the welcome gifts.
  15. The Bank reserves the right to change the above terms and conditions without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the Bank reserves the right of final decision.
