Terms and Conditions for CMB Wing Lung New Customer Promotion

I. General Terms and Conditions:

  1. The promotion (the “Offer”) period for the Offer is from 18 October 2021 to 31 December 2021, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. The promotion is only applicable to single and joint name deposit account.
  3. The Offer is only applicable to customer who makes appointment for account opening via CMBWLB Wintech mobile application (the “Wintech”) and opens a CMB Wing Lung Bank (the “Bank”) deposit account during the Promotion Period, and did not hold any single or joint name deposit account in the preceding 12 months, except holding of CMB Wing Lung Credit Card (the “New Customer”).
  4. Unless otherwise specified, the Offers under Section III - V are only applicable to New Customer who does not become the customer of CMB Wing Lung Private Banking Service before the corresponding reward is delivered. The Offers under Section IV - V are only applicable to New Customer who does not become the customer of CMB Wing Lung Private Banking Service or CMB Wing Lung Private Wealth Management Service or CMB Wing Lung Sunflower Service before the corresponding reward is delivered.
  5. The customer of CMB Wing Lung Private Wealth Management Service or CMB Wing Lung Sunflower Service is not entitled to the Section III Cash Rebate.
  6. “Total Balance” refers to the total balance of the account /products (including demand deposits, fixed deposits, gold, securities and wealth Management (including the investment product under Southbound Wealth Management Connect Scheme).
  7. Cash Rebate will be credited into customer account at the Bank.
  8. If New Customer holds more than one HKD deposit account at the Bank when New Customer collects Reward, the account to be credited with the reward will be determined by the Bank at its sole discretion. The account status of each New Customer should remain valid and normal at the time when the corresponding offer is rewarded or delivered to the New Customer, otherwise, the reward will be forfeited absolutely.
  9. New Customer will be entitled to the Offer once only during the Promotion Period.
  10. If the New Customer is entitled to the Offer in conjunction with other promotional offer during the Promotion Period, the Bank reserves the right to grant the New Customer one of or part of the entitled Offer.
  11. Eligible Customer will not be informed if customer is not eligible to enjoy any of the promotional offers.
  12. Each offer and reward is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant products or services.
  13. All rewards and offers are limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
  14. Customers understand and accept that the Bank is not the supplier of the reward. The Bank shall bear no liability relating to any aspect of the reward, including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the descriptions of the reward provided by the supplier, any false trade description, misrepresentation, mis-statement, omission, unauthorized representation, unfair trade practices or conduct in connection with the reward provided by the supplier, its employees, officers or agents.
  15. Monthly Maintenance Fee is applicable to the Bank’s deposit account. For details, please refer to the Bank’s General Banking and CMB Wing Lung Sunflower Service Charges.
  16. The Bank reserves the right to vary, extend, terminate and/or cancel any of the Offer(s) or to amend any of the Terms and Conditions herein from time to time. In case of any disputes, the Bank’s decision shall be final and binding.
  17. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and the English versions of these Terms and Conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

II. Terms and Conditions for Wintech Monthly Lucky Draw:

  1. New Customer who fulfills below requirements (“ Eligible Customer”):
    1. Successfully makes appointment for account opening via CMBWLB Wintech mobile application (the “Wintech”) and opens a CMB Wing Lung Bank (the “Bank”) deposit account
    2. Successfully opens Securities or Wealth Management Account (including Cross-Boundary Wealth Management Account) on the designated date.
    3. “Total Balance” meets HKD50,000 or above (HKD or equivalent) on or before the following month of the account opening date. May refer the details in below table:

  2. Eligible Customer will be entitled to one entry for a Lucky Draw (“Lucky Draw”) and rewarded HKD 100 Cash Rebate
    The Cash Rebate is not applicable to the customer of CMB Wing Lung Private Banking Service or CMB Wing Lung Private Wealth Management Service or CMB Wing Lung Sunflower Service.
  3. In each month during the Promotion Period (“Months”), Eligible Customer will be entitled to one entry for a Lucky Draw (“Lucky Draw”) with no registration needed. The winner will be entitled to a smartphone (256GB) (Reference Retail Price: HKD9,299), A total of six (6) will be given for the promotion.
  4. Each eligible customer can participate in the lucky draw once ONLY
  5. Result Announcement will be published on the Bank’s official website .Winner will receive a call from the Bank's staff and collect their prizes at the designated location within the designated period.
  6. Winner will have 3 months from the date of the draw to claim the prize (“Collection Period”).
  7. If winner does not collect the prize in the Collection Period, prize will be forfeited absolutely and will not be provided to the winner through any means.
  8. Employees of the Bank are not eligible for the offers mentioned herewith.

III. Terms and Conditions for New Fund Growth Reward (the “Reward”):

  1. “New Fund” refers to monies deposited by cash, cheque/cashier’s order, Local Bank Transfer Payment through Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS, also known as Clearing House Automated Transfer System (CHATs), telegraphic transfer from other banks or transfer-in Investment Funds, Debt Securities or Securities from other banks or financial institutions to the investment product account held with the Bank excluding renewal or rollover of existing time deposits and transfer of funds from any account with the Bank.
  2. New Customer who fulfills below requirements (“Eligible Customer”):
    1. Successfully makes appointment for account opening via CMBWLB Wintech mobile application (the “Wintech”) and opens a CMB Wing Lung Bank (the “Bank”) deposit account
    2. Successfully opens Securities or Wealth Management Account (including Cross-Boundary Wealth Management Account) on or before the following month of the account opening date.
    3. Fund in New Fund before the Fund In Deadline listed below
    4. Maintain New Fund of no less than HK$200,000 (or its equivalent) in the New Account starting from the Account Opening Date up to the applicable Designated Date.

IV. Terms and Conditions for Securities & Wealth Management Account New Funds Growth Extra Reward (“Extra Reward”):

  1. 1. The calculation of “Total Balance of the Securities and Wealth Management Account” is the total balance of the account /products (Including demand deposits,fixed deposits, gold, securities and wealth management (including the investment product under Southbound Wealth Management Connect Scheme) .
  2. New Customer who fulfils all of the following requirements will be entitled to the Extra Reward (“Eligible Customer”):
    1. Successfully makes appointment for account opening via CMBWLB Wintech mobile application (the “Wintech”) and opens a CMB Wing Lung Bank (the “Bank”) deposit account.
    2. Successfully opens Securities or Wealth Management Account (including Cross-Boundary Wealth Management Account) on or before the following month of the account opening date.
    3. Entitled for New Fund Growth Reward
    4. Total Balance of the Securities and Wealth Management Account maintains HKD200,000 or above (HKD or equivalent) on the designated date. Corresponding time for fulfilling respective requirements, and dates for cash rebate arrangement:
