By entering a Fixed Deposit and FX Option Operation, client can offset the impact of market fluctuations to the deposit currency through option fees supplement.

Features

  • Client can set own’s target exchange rate, deposit tenor and the currency to receive if option is being exercised.
  • Under the circumstances of FX option expired, the option premium will makes room for the adverse impact of market price.
  • When FX option transaction is exercised at maturity, means client’s target exchange rate is reached.

Remarks:
If the FX option contract is exercised, client’s initial deposited currency will be converted to the linked currency, bearing exchange rate risk of changing back to the initial currency.

Fixed Deposit and FX Forward Operation is the combination of FX forward to lock the exchange rate at maturity of a fixed deposit, to receive back the initial currency.

Features

  • FX forward rate locked at the initial day of the operation.
  • The interest rate difference between the initial currency and the swapped currency can be used as a subsidy for entering FX forward transaction.
  • The deposit tenor is usually inline with the general fixed deposit or can be tailored to match client’s need.

Remarks:
Early settlement may involve additional fees, and agreement signing (FX agreement).

Features

  • Foreign exchange forwards include Deliverable Forward (DF) and Non-Deliverable Forward (NDF).
  • DF is the most commonly used trading mode, covering the most currency types, and the principal settles in full on due date.
  • NDF is a forward exchange rate locked at the beginning of the period and difference with a fixing rate on maturity, settles only the price difference.
  • The above two forward transactions can effectively lock in the exchange rate under the circumstances of exchange rate fluctuations.

Interest Rate Swap of single currency (float to fixed, fixed to float).
