1. What is e-Statement service?
 

e-Statement service provides you with a fast and convenient way to view your account statements / advices via our NET Banking. In addition, a statement-alert will be sent to your registered e-mail address when the new statements / advices are available.

 
Registration for e-Statement Service
  • For non-registered account(s), only latest e-statements / e-advices can be viewed.
  • For registered account(s), a statement-alert will be sent to the registered e-mail address when the latest statements / advices are available. In addition, your past e-statements / e-advices will be retained for:
    - 30 days for daily statements / advices
    - 12 weeks for weekly / biweekly statements / advices
    - 12 months for monthly statements / advices

2. What are the features of e-Statement service?
 
  • You may view to your statements / advices online to handle your personal finances anytime and anywhere.
  • You may print the e-statements anytime when needed.
  • You may view your statements details safely and reliably upon logging onto our NET Banking.
  • Issuance date and layout of the e-statements are exactly the same as the paper statements.
  • Protect our environment by reducing the use of paper statements.
 
 
 
3. Is there any fee for the e-Statement service?
 
The service is free of charge.

4. Who can use the e-Statement service?
 
CMB Wing Lung NET Banking customers can register for the service via our NET Banking anytime when needed.

5. When can I use the e-Statement service after registration?
 
Request for the e-Statement service will take 3 working days to process and you can view your statements / advices via our NET Banking starting from next statement cycle after successful registration. A statement-alert will be sent to your registered e-mail address when the new statements / advices are available. Please note that no paper statements / advices will be mailed to you thereafter.

6. Is there any technical requirement for the e-Statement service?
 

The e-statements / e-advices are provided in PDF format only, please use Acrobat Reader (Version 6.0 or above) for browsing the documents.

7. How long will e-statements / e-advices be retained in NET Banking?
 

Monthly e-statements / e-advices will be retained for 12 months from the issuance date, daily e-statements / e-advices for 30 days, and weekly / biweekly e-statements / e-advices for 12 weeks.

10. How can I register for the e-Statement service?
 

It only takes 3 steps to register for the e-Statement service:
Step 1: Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
Step 2: E-mail Address Registration
Step 3: Account(s) registration

Step 1: Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

Logon to NET Banking service and select “e-Statement service”.


Select “service registration”, read and agree with the Terms and Conditions.

Step 2: E-mail Address Registration

Enter your e-mail address.

To verify your e-mail address, we will send you an e-mail providing you with a "Verification Code". Please check the e-mail and enter the “Verification Code in the space provided”.

Step 3: Account(s) Registration

Select the account(s) you want to register for e-Statement service.

Confirm and enter the one-time password.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address after successful registration.

11. How can I change my e-mail address?
 

You can update your e-mail address via NET Banking by choosing “change of e-mail address” under the service menu of “e-Statement”, then simply enter your new e-mail address and “Verification Code” to complete the change of e-mail address procedures.

If you changed the e-mail successfully, the statement-alert will be sent to your new registered e-mail address starting from next statement cycle.

12. Which types of account can I register for the e-Statement service?
 

You can register for the following types of account:

  • Demand Deposit Account(s)
  • Credit Card Account(s)
  • Securities Account(s)

Securities and wealth management statements / advices are not yet available for registration, however, you may view your latest securities and wealth management statements / advices via NET Banking.

13. How can I cancel the e-Statement service for individual account or all the account(s)?
 

You can cancel the e-Statement service for individual account or all the account(s) via our NET Banking and the instruction will be processed in 3 working days; or else you can cancel the service via any one of our branches.

14. What can I do if I cannot receive the e-mail providing me with the “Verification Code”?
 
If you cannot receive the e-mail providing you with the “Verification Code”, please check your registered e-mail address and press “confirm” again to send out the e-mail.

15. Will I receive paper statements after registration for the e-Statement service?
 
No, no paper statement of the registered account(s) will be mailed to you after successful registration for the e-Statement service.
