Sponsored Empress Dowager Cixi and Princess Deling of Hong Kong Arts Festival
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of our Bank and to give our continuous support to the local arts and cultural sector, we sponsored the Beijing opera Empress Dowager Cixi and Princess Deling performed by China National Peking Opera Company during the Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF)*. This Beijing opera not only depicted the rarely known characters of Cixi, but also brought about the first cooperation among Hong Kong famous director Fredric Mao, renowned Chinese playwright He Jiping and the China National Peking Opera Company, which was a fresh experience to all.
*HKAF is a non-profit organization and also a major international arts festival committed to enriching the life of the city by presenting over a hundred performances and numerous educational events in February and March every year.
