Security Token (Standard Version) User Guide (Login via Personal NET Banking Services)

1.Activation of Security Token (First Login)
  1. On the login page of Personal NET Banking Services, enter your “Logon ID”, “Password” and “Verification Code”, and press “Send”;
  2. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions;
  3. Enter the serial number printed on the back of the Security Token on the page;
  4. Press the green button of the Security Token to obtain a One-Time Password (OTP);
  5. Enter the 6-digit OTP on the page and press “Activate”;
  6. Activation completed.
2.Activation of Security Token (After First Login)
  1. On the login page of Personal NET Banking Services, enter your “Logon ID”, “Password” and “Verification Code”, and press “Send” ;
  2. Select “My Setting” > “Security Token Setting” after login;
  3. Enter the serial number printed on the back of the Security Token on the page;
  4. Press the green buttonof the Security Token to obtain a OTP;
  5. Enter the 6-digit OTP on the page and press “Continue”;
  6. Activation completed.
3.How to choose whether to use the Security Token for login?
  1. Login to Personal NET Banking Services and select “My Settings”> “Security Token Setting”> “Login Setting”;
  2. Select “Enable” or “Disable”, press the green buttonof the Security Token to obtain a OTP and press “Send”.
  3. Check information on the next page and press “Confirm”.
4.How to use your Security Token to login to Personal NET Banking Services?
  1. On the login page of Personal NET Banking Services, enter your “Logon ID”, “Password” and “Verification Code”;
  2. Press the green button of the Security Token to obtain a OTP;
  3. Enter the 6-digit OTP on the page and press “Send”.
5.How to use your Security Token to perform Transaction Signing?
  1. Press the orange button to switch on the Security Token;
  2. Input the unique transaction-related information (e.g. file checksum number) into the Security Token following the instruction provided;
  3. Press the orange button again to obtain a 6-digit verification code;
  4. Enter the 6-digit verification code into the appropriate field on web page and press “Confirm”.

 

If the customer does not login with Security Token in Personal NET Banking Services, authorization with a Security Token will be required for the following instructions/transactions:

(For transaction amount less than HKD 100,000 or equivalent)

If customers login without Security Token and the transaction amount is over HKD100,000 or equivalent, customers are required to authorized the transaction with the Security Token.
