As the worldwide largest environmental movement, Earth Hour 2021* was held on 27th March (Saturday) at 8:30pm local time. With the support all in Hong Kong, lots of lights were switched off during the pre-set hour. The Bank had turned off the lightbox signage at CMB Wing Lung Bank Building in Central and CMB Wing Lung Bank Centre in Mong Kokunder the theme of this year: “Let Oceans Shine”. Moreover, the Bank had prepared clam soup, listed as the sustainable seafoodunder “WWF Seafood Guide”, for the staff lunch meal on the day before the event (26th March, Friday) in order to demonstrate our support.

*Earth Hour is a global event for energy conservation. It advocates families and corporations to turn off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances for 1 hour at 8:30p.m. on the last Saturday in March every year.
