Terms for Securities Trading
To trade local securities through us, you have to open a securities account and a HKD savings/current account with CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited as settlement account. For securities trading through internet, application must also be made for CMB Wing Lung NET Banking Service.
Shares purchased/sold by us on your behalf will be directly settled through your settlement account and securities account. For a purchase order to be valid, you must have sufficient funds in the settlement account to meet the amount payable. Once your purchase order is successfully placed, relevant amount will be frozen pending subsequent settlement on settlement day (T+2). Before placing a sale order, you must be sure to have sufficient securities in your securities custodian account for execution.
Instructions channeled to us by whatever means are valid until expiry; unless otherwise cancelled by the customer. For day orders, outstanding orders will automatically be cancelled after trade close of relevant trade day.
